December in Review

December, for me, was a slow month of regathering my life, my thoughts, my papers, and my time after NaNoWriMo. There were only 9 posts last months and 3 videos on my YouTube channel. So far January is looking like a better month for both blogging and videos!

To start of the month, I finished up my NaNoWriMo posts with announcing my win and explaining my plans for the month and my novel in "Winning NaNoWriMo and Where to go from there."

I also featured the book Scarlet Woods during a Release Day Blitz with YANovelReader and had a very interesting guest post from the author of Undertow about the "New Adult" genre, also through YANovelReader.

I talked about my life in "Coming Home" and "Dirt & Grime: Arkansas and Car Trouble." The latter of which is a new revival of a long deleted series of posts called "Dirt & Grime," about my life and the daily life boring things that don't really interest anyone but me.

I celebrated two holidays, the Solstice and Christmas, the latter with an awesome playlist!

Lastly, on the blog, I reviewed two books. The first was Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins, which received a 4 duck rating. The second was actually a part of another blog tour through YANovelReader in which I reviews His Black Wings, giving it a 3 duck rating.

The three videos I posted during December were a "return" video, the Random Shit Video 2.0, and the Rainbow Book Tag. I'm really glad to be back into doing videos and I hope to keep it up!

I hope December was a productive month for you and I look forward to many more posts and videos in January!

October in Review

Happy Halloween all! More on that later...

This month has been quite a month of fun and excitement for me and I hope for you all as well!

This month I talked about my love of hand written letters and excitement about moving into my own room here on campus in Letters and Solitude.

I participated in one blog tour with a Birthright Teaser and the Promotional Blitz for Forbidden Forest!

In a week of lists I shared my "Fall Line-Up" of shows I'm watching this fall, some Dorm Food Must Haves, and a list of some new amazing blogs I've followed.

I also shared an amazing artist I found and feel in love with in an Inspiration post.

Finally, I shared my thoughts on Hemingway's A Moveable Feast and announced my excitement to be a participant in NaNoWriMo this year!

I hope this month was as wonderful for all of you as it has been for me! Any thing you'd like to share about this past month?

September in Review

September was a pretty crazy month for me in my life! I made only 8 posts, one of which was August in Review. Things in life I've yet to blog about include my new sorority family (I got twins!), applying for study abroad, and changes in my living arrangements.

But this month I did have the honour of participating in four blog tours! I'm so grateful to have the opportunity!

I also posted an introduction of my Instagram account (lifeducks), the second installment of my Pinning Sweetly series, which showcases finds on my other obsession, Pinterest, and A Catch Up Post in which I explain where I've been.

That has been my slow slow month! Mostly, I get up, go to class, eat lunch, read for classes, study french, go to sorority events, sleep, and repeat. I don't get to spend much time online anymore, but you can always keep up with me on Instagram or Tumblr. I send most of my Instagrams to Tumblr, but Tumblr also has things I reblog from other blogs, so whichever fits your style more.

Did you have a great or productive September?

August In Review

With school and craziness, I never actually did my August in review post! So only about 15 days late... lets go!

In August I...

Off-line I...
  • Started my sophomore year of university.
  • Rushed some amazing girls, some of which joined my fabulous sorority!
  • Welcomed some amazing new sisters into my life.
  • Got back into studying French.
  • Moved into the dorms again.
  • Reconnected with amazing friends.
August was a pretty great month for me, despite the steep decline in posting and the sudden stop in my Youtube channel. I'm glad to be back at school and to have amazing friends and sisters. I'm also blessed to have this blog and a place to share my thoughts and opinions.

How was your month of August?

July in Review

I think it was a great first month of the new, revived blog! I managed to post 14 posts last month! I'm very proud of my new project and the optimistic direction it is heading. I'm grateful each and every person who has come to read my life, which is mostly filled of books and sorority life. Thank you so much and I'm looking forward to an awesome second month as well!

I started out the month on the 6th with my introductory post: A Girl

Then followed that Saturday with a weekend write up: An Adventure in Baking

The next week was a crazy awesome week with a post every day, and my trip to Colorado!
That week we has a Book Review on Monday: The Princess Diaries: A Book Review

Another weekend write up on Tuesday: Of Sisters, Food, & Explosives
Wednesday had a very serious post explaining my school decisions: A Change of Pace
Thursday was a photo loaded post: The Great iPhone Clean Out
That Friday was the first (and so far only) Finishing Friday.
Finally on Saturday I showed some of my newest YouTube Subscriptions: New Subs!

The next week things calmed down a bit with only two posts:
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: A Book Review
Pinning Sweetly #1

Next we had a good week with two book reviews and a haul
The Esspressologist: A Book Review
A Haul of Sorts - in which my darling Nook was introduced and given a new handmade cover!
Audrey's Guide to Witchcraft: A Book Review

Finally the last post of the month was another book review Monday in which I reviewed Choker by Elizabeth Woods.

I hope you all enjoyed last month's posts as much as I did!
